A New Salary Cap Update From the NFL Means the Bears Have Even More Money to Spend
The latest update on the NFL salary cap is good news for teams that are ready to spend some dough.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano shares a memo that was sent out by the league announcing to teams that the 2025 NFL salary cap would land somewhere between $277.5 million and $281.5 million.
This would represent a second consecutive offseason in which the NFL salary cap has significantly boosted. The 2024 salary cap was set at $255.4 million. In 2023, the cap number was $224.8 million. Early 2025 projections forecasted the 2025 NFL salary cap number to be $275 million. So, seeing news that the league is projecting a 2025 cap number that could hit anywhere between $277.5 million and $281.5 million is truly eye-opening.
