Assessing the Chicago Bears NFL Draft Priorities After the First Wave of Free Agency
The Bears’ work in the first wave of free agency has opened up various possibilities for next month's NFL Draft.
The first wave of free agency is over, and we have a better idea of what the Chicago Bears need to address in next month’s NFL Draft in Green Bay.
On Monday, General Manager Ryan Poles and the Bears made a trio of splashes in the trenches when they signed center Drew Dalman, defensive lineman Dayo Odeyingbo, and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett. Couple those signings with trades for offensive linemen Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson the previous week, and Chicago’s plans for next month’s NFL Draft have shifted. With the heavy lifting on the offensive line done and depth added to the defensive line, Chicago is in a position where it’s not tethered to chasing any positional group with the No. 10 pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.
