Bears 2025 Reasonable Expectations
And some bold predictions ...
We’re just days away from the start of a new NFL season, with the Chicago Bears set to open their 2025 season against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. I’m excited for the season to come. Not as enthusiastic as our friend Chuck Swirsky, but excited nonetheless.
Predictions for the Bears season. Bears win 11 games and win at least one playoff game. Caleb Williams becomes Bears first 4-thousand yard passer . Ryan Poles named NFL Executive of the Year. Ben Johnson NFL Coach of the Year . Bears make major trade at deadline on defense . Save

I think Chuck might be getting ahead of himself a little bit, but I think we’re in for a fun season. In last year’s version of this story, I had the Bears improving from seven wins to nine. I thought that a two-win increase with additions like Caleb Williams, Keenan Allen, and D’Andre Swift was more than possible, but then Matt Enerflus and his cast of subpar coaching hires struck, and Chicago regressed to five wins.
If the cost of the Bears hiring Ben Johnson was me being wrong in my prediction, it was one I’m glad to pay. So here we are, back to ponying up a win prediction. We’ll kick things off there.
