Bears 7-Round Mock Draft: 1.0
The Senior Bowl is officially in the books, which means the first true checkpoint of the 2026 NFL Draft cycle is behind us.
The Senior Bowl is officially in the books, which means the first true checkpoint of the 2026 NFL Draft cycle is behind us, and with it comes the first Chicago Bears mock draft of the offseason.
As always, the annual reminder applies: this is an exploratory exercise, not a prediction. It’s February 3. As I wrote last week, Chicago’s roster picture will look very different once decisions are made on expiring contracts and the Bears begin navigating free agency in March. Needs, priorities, and even philosophical direction can shift quickly between now and April, so consider this an early snapshot rather than a finished blueprint.
That said, this is where the process starts. We’ll roll out the Bears mock draft series in stages, checking back in after the NFL Scouting Combine (February 23-March 2), again after free agency opens on March 11, and once more in the week leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft on April 23. Each installment will reflect what we’ve learned along the way — from workouts and measurements to roster movement and scheme clarity.
To preserve the spirit of early mock drafts as a learning tool, this version includes no trades. Additionally, selections for Rounds 4-7 won’t be finalized until the postseason is complete and the full draft order is set. For now, the focus is on identifying player archetypes, positional trends, and how Chicago might begin shaping the roster around its core strengths and long-term vision.
With that groundwork laid, let’s dive into the Chicago Bears’ 7-Round Mock Draft 1.0 and start mapping out what the 2026 offseason could look like if things break the right way.
