A messy situation has emerged with the Baltimore Ravens backing out of their agreed-upon Maxx Crosby trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, then pivoting to sign free-agent pass rusher Trey Hendrickson. It is quite clear what happened here, and the NFL shouldn’t be OK with it. I can’t imagine another team, agent, or player outside of Baltimore trusting that front office right now.
But with that being said, I hope the Chicago Bears are monitoring this situation because there could be a way to play this to their advantage.
And, hey, what do you know: Former Bears scouting director Greg Gabriel just posted the following on X this morning: “Just got a text from a very credible agent who said their is belief around League that the Bears will look into trading for Crosby….I was not told it was going to happen, I was told that there is belief the Bears will seriously look into it.”
