We’re still a little way away from position battles being a real topic of conversation at Halas Hall, but with the Chicago Bears rookie minicamp opening this weekend, it felt like a good time to start a position-by-position breakdown of the team’s most compelling depth chart competitions heading into training camp.
Left tackle is the obvious place to start. We’ll be working through other positions in the days ahead, and there’s no shortage of interesting battles up and down this roster. Still, the offensive line situation demands attention first, and it starts with an absence.
