When Chicago Bears training camp opened last week, head coach Ben Johnson said that there would be competition for the starting center position between veteran Garrett Bradbury and rookie second-rounder Logan Jones. While that’s probably still true, it feels like Bradbury is in the driver’s seat.

Like Bradbury in the middle of the offensive line, the left tackle job was probably more Jones’ to lose than a true competition from the onset, even if that’s not in the messaging from the coaching staff. For now, it seems like both veterans have done what they’ve needed to do to remain in the pole position.
