The last time the Chicago Bears faced the New England Patriots, Caleb Williams was sacked nine times.
Nine. In a 19-3 loss that might not have been the worst game of the Matt Eberflus era, but was probably the most honest one. Chicago’s offense offered nothing. Former offensive coordinator Shane Waldron was fired two days later. Since then, the Bears won the NFC North and reached the divisional round in Johnson’s first year. The Patriots went to the Super Bowl in Vrabel’s first season. Now both teams are 4-2, and they meet on Thursday Night Football, and one of them has already been where the other wants to go.
