There is something for everyone — from a potential Caleb Williams–Aaron Rodgers showcase, to Chicago’s push to stack wins before a brutal two-week stretch, to a trenches battle that could decide everything on Sunday.
Whether Rodgers plays or not, his shadow looms over this matchup, especially with Williams openly embracing Rodgers as one of the biggest influences on his game. The Bears’ quarterback won’t say it outright, but there’s no denying the competitive charge that would come with facing the player he studied more than any other. Still, Williams insists the week’s focus remains simple: going 1-0, improving, and keeping the Bears on a playoff trajectory. And that trajectory makes this week even more critical.
With the Philadelphia Eagles on deck for a national-stage Black Friday showdown and a trip to Lambeau Field looming the following week, Sunday represents Chicago’s final chance to bank a win before the schedule stiffens considerably. At 7-3, the Bears are firmly in the postseason mix. But maintaining that position will require handling business against a veteran Steelers team fighting to stay afloat.
