The Cubs are back in action tonight in Tampa Bay, but they’ll be without Ben Brown, who is heading to the injured list with a neck strain.
The Cubs are back in action tonight in Tampa Bay, but they’ll be without Ben Brown, who is heading to the injured list with a neck strain.
Jordan Wicks will take Brown’s spot in the Cubs rotation, and Colten Brewer was recalled to take Brown’s spot on the roster. The idea was that Brown would be available as a high-leverage reliever, with Wicks making his way back into the rotation.
Alas, nothing has gone as planned for the Cubs this season, and they will have to wait a little while longer to have the optimal offering in the rotation and the bullpen.
