Buzelis: "Chicago Deserves More"
The Chicago Bulls' Matas Buzelis is not afraid to say the quiet part out loud.
Some heroes wear capes, others wear jerseys.
While many have struggled to see the light at the end of the tunnel for the Chicago Bulls, Matas Buzelis sounds determined to find it. From the moment the organization selected him with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, both his play and personality have been a breath of fresh air.
Unafraid to speak his mind or go for the highlight jam, there is a confidence to Buzelis that can be contagious. Can some of this confidence feel irrational at times? Sure, particularly when he is sitting down with K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network and declaring he can be the best player in the world. But would you rather he set the bar lower? Buzelis said it best himself: “If you don’t think like that, this is not the sport for you.”
