Caleb Williams Speaks: Taking Control, Indy Turning Point, More

Caleb Williams is really starting to come into his own on and off the field.

With the Chicago Bears in London this week, GM Ryan Poles was among the personnel who spoke to the media this Wednesday. When asked about his rookie quarterback’s progress, Poles said (h/t The Athletic) that Caleb Williams is “right where he should be and continuing to get better.”

“You’ve seen that in terms of the efficiency, protecting the football, taking what’s given to him, and then going into this last game, now explosives are starting to show up. So I really like his progress, I love the work ethic and the time that he’s put into it, the grit and toughness, the ability to bounce back from tough games.”

When Williams took the podium, he credited his offensive line with creating more depth in the pocket recently and said that he believes the offense is beginning to settle into a groove.
