The Chicago Cubs today announced a new addition to the bleachers for 2025, which will appear above the batter’s eye in centerfield: “The Yard.”

The idea seems to be to replicate a little backyard area for groups of four to eight (the full space has a maximum capacity of 50), where they can have food and drink, watch the game in a private space, but also kinda be in the bleachers. These private rental areas are additive to the bleachers, by the way, not taking away any of the previous space for general admission fans. So that’s good.
