Coby White (Who is Playing Out of His Mind) Named Player of the Week

This is the second time this month the NBA has recognized the tear that White has been on.

Coby White was named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second time this month. White has been on a tear, and while it’s not doing anything for Chicago’s draft lottery situation, White’s emergence—along with the play of Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis—has been exciting for Bulls fans.

Here’s what Elias Schuster wrote about White’s recent performance today:

“During this four-game span, White averaged 30.3 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.2 rebounds. He also shot 55.5 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from long range to lead the Bulls to a 3-1 record on the West Coast. The Bulls also announced that White is now the second player ever in franchise history to take home back-to-back Eastern Conference Player of the Week awards. The only other player – as I’m sure you can guess – is Michael Jordan.”
