Great news for the offseason ahead on the pitcher health side of things: Ben Brown is going to be good to go for a normal offseason.
As reported at The Athletic, Brown has been cleared to proceed with a normal offseason, so we can generally expect him to be on a typical throwing program, ramping up through Spring Training. It’s still possible, because of the injury and his limited innings in 2024, that the Cubs may slow play his ramp up a little bit. But it won’t be because of a traditional injury rehab situation. This is very good news.
