The Cubs’ upcoming stretch looks like their toughest of the year. Unfortunately, unless they start playing a lot better immediately, this could be it for the season. Not many teams reach the All-Star break 5+ games under .500 and still go for it by the deadline.

Anyway, it all starts tonight against the Giants, with a late-night game at Oracle Park. Justin Steele is taking the mound for the Cubs, and he’s been on a quietly brilliant stretch with just four earned runs over his last 31.2 IP.
