Cubs Kick Off Three Game Set With Phillies
The NL-leading Philadelphia Philles come to Wrigley, but they'll be without some big hitters
The Cubs and Phillies begin a three-game set at the Friendly Confines tonight. Zack Wheeler is scheduled to throw tomorrow night, but this evening the Cubs are getting Michael Mercado who will make his first Major League start.
On the plus side, the Cubs won’t have to see Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, or J.T. Realmuto as they’re all on the IL. However, along with facing Zack Wheeler Wednesday, they’ll get Christopher Sanchez on the 4th to close out the series who’s been as good if not better than Wheeler has this year.
