The Chicago Cubs have already gotten Javier Assad back at long last, and they’ll soon get back another starting pitcher, with yet another somewhere on the horizon.

The news on Jameson Taillon is simple and good: his latest rehab start went perfectly fine, and he’s ready to come back to the big league rotation. We should expect to see Jameson Taillon return to the big league rotation next week for the Brewers series, which is particularly good timing given that it’s 5 games in 4 days. The Cubs were going to need an extra starting pitcher anyway.
