With the 2026 MLB Trade Deadline moved back this year (August 3) and the MLB Draft still happening during All-Star week, the normal flow of trade rumors has been barren. The expanded playoff picture and the extreme mediocrity of the American League have contributed, as well (nine AL teams are 4.5 games or better away from a Wild Card berth).
