Last night, I saw that Mike Rodriguez was reporting extension talks between the Chicago Cubs and Kyle Tucker. Because the news would be massive if the Cubs were actively engaged in serious negotiations with Tucker, and because the report didn’t actually go quite that far, I was taking a little time to think through how I wanted to handle sharing it.

While that was happening, Jesse Rogers hopped on ESPN 1000 today and, after bracing fans for the possibility that the news on Justin Steele’s arm may not be good today (see below)*, was directly asked about the Tucker report:
