It's a Different Cubs Season Now
I swear this used to be fun.
Monday night, the Cubs lost a winnable game at Wrigley Field under circumstances that were (1) sloppy (errors, missing first base), (2) frustrating (swinging bunt singles, check-swing RBI doubles, lineout doubleplays, lifeless offensive production), and (3) predictable (more starting pitcher woes, with bonus trade deadline complaints).
And because the Brewers never, EVER lose anymore, the 2025 Chicago Cubs, who were already out of first place, have fallen to a season-low 3.0 games back of Milwaukee.
I guess I’ll just have to get used to it.
