It’s Over: Roki Sasaki Reportedly Told the Cubs They’re Out
Welp. So much for that.
The dream is dead. Roki Sasaki will not be choosing the Chicago Cubs in International Free Agency.
Per Sahadev Sharma, the Cubs have been informed that they, like the Giants, Mets, Yankees, and Rangers were told on Monday, are out.
It’s all but certain, as it has been for about a year, that Sasaki is going to “choose” the Dodgers, and this will be revealed as the farce it was all along. The Padres are still getting a lot of hype from folks, I suppose, but I’ve never been able to shake those early Dodgers rumors. It felt like a done deal from the word go.
