Today the Chicago Cubs placed lefty Justin Steele on the 15-day Injured List, and recalled reliever Ethan Roberts for the game against the Rangers. I expect they could recalibrate the rotation a bit after tomorrow’s off-day and in advance of their next trip out west. Left elbow tendinitis is the official designation for Steele’s move to the IL.

Because Justin Steele has had minor elbow issues of this type before and has returned after a little break, I am not going to freak out.

But it is never good when one of your best starting pitchers has to head to the Injured List with an elbow issue. So I am going to do whatever it is that is only slightly more chill than freaking out.
