Justin Steele Makes his Return to the Cubs TONIGHT!
For the first time since Opening Day, Justin Steele will start for the Chicago Cubs tonight as they open their series with the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field!
You’re probably wondering why you’re getting the BN Newsletter right now, and there’s a reason for that. As much as we loved the AM format, it became a challenge for me to work that into my evenings at home with the family, especially with the kids in baseball and other things.
So, we’re trying something new that we hope you’ll find equal value in.
Instead of waking up to the BN Newsletter, you’ll end your workday with it. Had a busy day at work and want to catch up on the day that was in Chicago sports before you sit down and relax for the evening or even in your break between work and running the kids around to their extracurricular activities, we’ve got a five-minute read for you to stay current!
All right, that’s enough of that. Let’s talk sports.
For the first time since Opening Day, Justin Steele will start for the Chicago Cubs tonight as they open their series with the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field!
Steele will take Keegan Thompson’s spot on the 26-man roster and return from his left hamstring strain that he suffered in Texas in late March.
Yay! And also, a hat tip to Keegan Thomson, who was pretty good during this most recent stay with the big league club, posting a 3.38 ERA in 10.2 innings of work (across seven appearances).
Brett has more thoughts on the move and what it means for the Cubs pitching staff tonight.
