Kmet on Declan Doyle: "Big Loss"
Here's why Bears TE Cole Kmet called Declan Doyle's departure a big loss for Chicago.
The Ravens made it officially official with Declan Doyle, who becomes the new offensive coordinator in Baltimore after a one-year stint with the Chicago Bears in that same role.
Happy trails, Declan. For the sake of Lamar Jackson fantasy owners, I hope you make the most of your time with the Ravens.
There was hope that Declan Doyle would return to the Bears for a second season. After all, turning down a Philadelphia Eagles team looking to fill an offensive coordinator gig helps me understand why that was the case. But when the Ravens came calling and dangling the opportunity to call plays for a two-time NFL MVP, I can also understand why Doyle is leaving town. And while Doyle wasn’t calling plays in Chicago, it doesn’t take much to get a grasp of why the Bears will miss their departing offensive coordinator.
