One of the Chicago Bears’ top pass catchers, Odunze, and quarterback Caleb Williams hit it off early in their pro careers. Odunze was on pace for a breakout season last year after a hot start before a nagging foot injury took him off the field and threw a wet blanket on what was a stock that was clearly on the rise. Sure, he came back for the team’s postseason games. And let’s not forget he made one of the biggest catches in franchise history in that playoff win against the Green Bay Packers. But the injuries and untimely (and uncharacteristic!) drops have left a sour taste in the mouths of some fans.

Nevertheless, I still think about that moment a lot because it gave us a taste of what could be coming if Rome Odunze puts it all together. However, we know that Odunze has a lot of work to do before he reaches that point.
