Chicago Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson met with the media on Wednesday as the team continues preparing for its first matchup of the season against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers may be scuffling to start the season, but Johnson knows that he can’t overlook them, especially with backup quarterback Tyson Bagent starting again this week.
Bagent was good against the Jets last week, but this week’s matchup is a different animal, and he has room to improve. One is pulling the trigger on some second-level plays that were there on Sunday’s film. Johnson admitted on Wednesday that there were some looks there, and said he and his coaching staff have encouraged Bagent to fire away when the opportunity presents itself.
