The Latest on the Seiya Suzuki Trade Rumors
Two teams showing interest in Suzuki?
In writing up today’s comments from Seiya Suzuki’s agent Joel Wolfe, ESPN’s Jesse Rogers added a specific tidbit worth pointing out.
Those comments from Wolfe were about the Cubs keeping him and Suzuki in the loop about possible trade talks, getting a sense of where Suzuki may or may not accept a trade, and also about how Suzuki doesn’t want to be a full-time DH. The Cubs may not want to trade Suzuki – or may prefer to trade Cody Bellinger – but it’s clear that a trade is possible.
As for the added Rogers tidbit, it’s this: “The Boston Red Sox have been looking for right-handed hitting, while the Seattle Mariners want to improve their offense overall. It’s unclear if Suzuki would waive his no-trade clause for either team.”
