The Diamondbacks may not be the Dodgers or the Padres, but they’ve been doing a whole lot of winning, themselves.
The Diamondbacks may not be the Dodgers or the Padres, but they’ve been doing a whole lot of winning, themselves. In fact, at 12-7, they have a slightly better record than the Cubs, even though they’re in fourth place in the NL West. Worse? The Cubs are scheduled to face the top of their rotation (Corbin Burnes, Zac Gallen, and Merrill Kelly), while sending the back of their rotation, themselves (Colin Rea, Ben Brown, Jameson Taillon).
In fact, if you really think about it, Brown was their sixth starter (joining the rotation because Javier Assad was injured to start the year) and Rea was their seventh. So this is kind of like the Cubs #7, #6, and #3 vs the Diamondbacks #1, #2, and #3.
