Yeah, I’m Already Looking at Potential Bears Head Coach Targets
While Chicago Bears Head Coach Matt Eberflus continues evaluating a broken offense, I am ready to look at potential replacements.
One week ago today, the New Orleans Saints fired Dennis Allen as their head coach. Six days later, the Saints rewarded that decision with a win. I bet that felt nice.
Allen was a defensive-minded head coach who was in over his head and was losing the team as game-day failures mounted every week until his dismissal. Sound familiar?
That the Chicago Bears are in a similar boat and haven’t done the same is disheartening. But Bears fans are used to this cycle, which means we’re already looking forward to January 6 — which is the first day of the offseason for teams that don’t make the playoffs and traditionally the first day teams part ways with coaches and general managers. However, there is no way I am waiting that long to create a list of potential Bears head coaching candidates and possible targets.
